Interim Chair, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Morristown Medical Center

Women’s Health initiatives at Morristown Medical Center are made possible by generous donors such as Peter and Sharon Cocoziello, Gates and Mary Ellen Hawn, Janet Simon, Katie Simon, Eileen Lowry and the Women’s Health Philanthropy Council.

Deskovick Maternity Center Telehealth Program

In 2022 the Deskovick Maternity Center saw more than 5,200 births — an increase of almost 600 deliveries over the last 3 years. Donors supported the continued success of the maternity center’s telehealth program, which offers virtual, postpartum follow-up visits to augment the in-person care these new mothers receive after giving birth.

Women’s Health Clinic Patient Support Fund

The Women’s Health Clinic at Morristown Medical Center utilizes donor gifts to support underserved patients with essential medications, transportation to and from appointments and other nonmedical needs.

Prenatal Family Counseling and Guidance Program

The donor-funded Prenatal Family Counseling and Guidance Program was developed in response to increasing rates of obesity and weight gain during pregnancy and the associated prevalence of obesity in children and adolescents. The goal of the program is to provide health education that reduces obesity, empowers patients to develop self-reliance and promotes a healthy lifestyle through nutrition and exercise during and after pregnancy.
